A space where art, prose, and philosophy meet The Emerging Turn—a shift in seeing, feeling, and becoming.

We grasp the echoes of becoming—not to hold, but to witness the fleeting beauty of what is always changing.

The Listening Field - Acrylic on canvas

Inspiration: The English countryside. The moment before meaning.

There’s a quiet turning — not a thought, but a knowing.
A stillness that listens back.
The trees live in and through the fog, each one distinct, yet dissolving into the whole.
This is not just landscape. It’s a field of presence — what Rumi called the place “beyond right and wrong.”

An integral field. A soul field.
You don’t stand before it.
You’re already inside it.

Worlds Within - Acrylic on Canvas

Inspiration: Yosemite. And the earth’s heartbeat.

A memory too alive to stay unpainted…

Age 10, on a family camping trip — lying beneath the towering Ponderosa Pines, I gazed up from the forest floor assuming the view of a ladybug. Above the trees: another world. But here, in this layered stillness of bark, light, and breath, lived a universe of its own.
Though I didn’t know the word then, I was sensing a Holon — a whole that is also part of something greater.
Forest within earth. Child within forest. Self within Source.
All is holons.

The Path That Called - Acrylic on Canvas

Inspiration: A dream. A blue Jacaranda tree-lined street. A conversation between trees.

I once dreamed I was walking down a street lined with jacaranda trees — each one gently whispering, come this way.
This painting is that dream. A vision not just of place, but of presence.
To me, trees are not the backdrop of moments; they are beings. An ecosystem of still communication. Again… they are Holons — individual and yet one.
This piece is a tribute to their quiet guidance, their networked intelligence, their invitation.
Sometimes, the path doesn’t ask you to arrive.
It simply asks you to listen — and begin.

Stillness Speaks - Acrylic on canvas

Inspiration: A study of reflection — in stillness, and as a metaphor.

Stillness offers what motion distorts: clarity.

In its quiet, we begin to see ourselves — not as performance, but as presence. The practice of stillness becomes a mirror, showing not just what is, but what’s emerging.

The magic of stillness is this: we see so much more.
What might you notice if you became still enough to look?

Developing Through Color - Acrylic on canvas

Inspiration: Study. 2021

No matter how closely we study the work or technique of another, each stroke becomes our own — shaped by hand, by heart, by presence.
To study is not to imitate, but to open.
To remain teachable is an act of humility.
And in that openness, something singular emerges.
This painting reflects that moment of becoming — where influence transforms into transmission, and learning becomes an expression of self.
